Psychology therapy is an intentional interpersonal relationship used by trained professionals to aid a client in problems of living. It aims to increase the individual’s well being. Psycho therapists employ a range of techniques based on experiential relationship building, dialogue, communication and behaviour change that are designed to improve the mental health of a client or patient, or to improve group relationships, such as in a family, these are many of the most important areas that humans have and live in this environment every day. Psycho therapy may be performed by practitioners with a number of different qualifications, including psychologists, marriage and family therapists, occupational therapists, licensed clinical social workers, counsellors, psychiatric nurses, psychoanalysts, and psychiatrists. Most forms of psycho therapy use spoken conversation. Some also use various other forms of communication such as the written word, artwork, drama, narrative story or music. Psycho therapy occurs within a structured encounter between a trained therapist and client. Purposeful, theoretically based psycho therapy began in the 19th century with psychoanalysis; since then, scores of other approaches have been developed and continue to be created. Whilst some psycho therapeutic interventions are designed to treat the patient employing the medical model, many psychotherapeutic approaches do not adhere to the symptom-based model of illness and cure. Some practitioners, such as humanistic therapists, see themselves more in a facilitative or helper role. As sensitive and deeply personal topics are often discussed during psycho therapy, therapists are expected, and usually legally bound, to respect a client or patient confidentiality. The critical importance of confidentiality is enshrined in the regulatory psychotherapeutic organizations codes of ethical practice.
Psychological therapy are many different types, they are all ways of helping people to overcome stress, emotional problems, relationship problems or troublesome habits. What they have in common is that they are all treatments based on talking to another person and sometimes doing things together. They are called the talking treatments and a person carrying out the treatment is usually called therapist.

Psychological treatment is considered many times also as a talking treatment and it is given by trained therapists, such as a psychiatrists, psychologists or social workers. Psycho therapy usually consists of regular sessions, often weekly between the therapist and the patient. There are many types of psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioural therapy and interpersonal therapy. This is one option that you can use.
First and foremost is empathy. It is a requirement for a successful practitioner to be able to understand his or her client’s feelings, thoughts, and behaviours. Second, being non-judgmental is vital if the relationship and treatment are going to work. Everybody makes mistakes, everybody does stuff they aren’t proud of, maybe is the most important of the psychology therapy too.
